Darwin Brumley

Greenville, SC

Darwin brings over 30 years of well-rounded hospitality experience managing over $350M in projects. His roles have evolved from front office to various executive operational positions such as General Manager and most recently President. Darwin’s Certified Hotel Administrator designation and his experience in the hotel industry give him a unique appreciation and understanding of what it takes to make a hotel successful.

Darwin co-founded the Ocean Ridge Project Management Group after nearly two years of leading Beacon Bay Project Management as President and Vice President, and 16 years with Auro Hotels, a successor to JHM Hotels, where he was the Vice President of Design and Construction. In this capacity, Darwin was responsible for all renovation and ground-up construction management. Darwin spent 9 years with Marshall Management prior to this as General Manager first, and then Regional Vice President of Operations.

Classic Rock is Darwin’s music of choice, and in his spare time he dabbles with the guitar, but his true passion is playing the drums. And, during football season, you’ll find him rooting on the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Brett Duke

Denver, CO

Brett brings extensive onsite experience and an intimate knowledge of hotel renovations from the guest and hotel management perspectives. He is the co-founder and oversees Ocean Ridge Project Management Group’s project management positions with experience in over 500 renovations.

Brett’s previous experiences include 5 years as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Beacon Bay Project Management and 5 years as an IT Implementation Project Manager specializing in remote installations for Siemens and then Tommy Bahama.

After venturing out on his own to start a pool construction business, Brett decided that working in the hospitality arena is where he prefers to be. Starting out first as a Site Superintendent and then project manager for Monolith Hospitality, followed by Salisbury Moore, Brett quickly gained the skills and experience necessary to be a superior Project Manager.

Working with different people day to day, and never facing the same obstacle two days in a row is what draws Brett to this industry. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling – the frequent flyer miles he earns each month allow his family to enjoy several trips each year.
